Amar Lal, MD graduated from Dow University in 1993. He underwent a medicine residency followed by an oncology fellowship. He qualified triple diploma in medicine, family medicine, and oncology from CPSP Pakistan. Then he got triple diplomas in medicine from the Royal Colleges of Physicians Ireland and Glasgow and specialty certificates from Oncology Royal College London. He also qualified for the ESMO Examination Board in oncology. He has been a local and international speaker in hematology and oncology and has more than 50 publications. He joined Tawam Hospital in 2007 and continued to be an active part of the CME/ Scientific Program Coordinator, a Member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee (PTC), a Patient safety physician manager, and a Member of the Medication Utilization Committee (MSSC).

Professor of Medicine (Hematology and Oncology), Professor of Anatomy, Cell Biology, and Physiological Sciences, and Director of the bone marrow transplantation program at the American University of Beirut-Medical Center. He received his MD and PhD degrees, residency, and fellowship training at the University of Paris VII in France. Dr. Ali Bazarbachi's basic and translational research focuses on targeted therapies for hematological malignancies as well as post-transplant pharmacological interventions. He has co-authored more than 350 articles in leading scientific journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Science, Journal of Experimental Medicine, The Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Blood, Nature Communication, and Cancer Research. He is the Chairman of the EMBMT Leukemia Working Party, Chairman of the NCCN Lymphoma Group for the Middle East and North Africa, past President of the Lebanese Society of Hematology, past President of the International Association for Comparative Research on Leukemia and Related Disorders, and Associate Editor of Bone Marrow Transplantation. He garnered multiple prestigious national and international awards including the 2008 award of the French National Academy of Medicine.

Amer Zeidan, MBBS, MHS is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Hematology) at Yale University. He is also the medical director of Hematology Early Therapeutics Research, the leader of the Myeloid Malignancies DART (Disease Aligned Research Team), and the director of CME at Hematology division at Yale Cancer Center. Dr. Zeidan has completed a hematology/oncology fellowship and a clinical research fellowship in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) at Johns Hopkins University where he also earned a Master of Health Science (MHS) degree in Clinical Investigation. Dr. Zeidan specializes in the management of myeloid malignancies especially MDS and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Dr. Anna Sureda has focused her career on clinical investigations into the treatment of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and multiple myeloma patients evaluating novel therapies such as immunotherapy combined with stem-cell transplantation. She was appointed Chairperson of the Lymphoma Working Party (LWP) of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) from 2004 to 2010 and Secretary of the same organization from 2010 to 2016. She was elected co-chair of the Lymphoma Committee of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and has served the organization in this position from 2015 to 2019. She was subsequently appointed as a member of a large non-US Transplant Center in the Advisory Committee of the CIBMTR (from February 2019). He then continued his training with a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Cardeza Foundation for Hematology Research, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, also at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow. In 1999, he became Assistant Professor in the Department of Leukemia at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where he has remained for the rest of his academic career. Dr. Garcia-Manero’s research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular biology of MDS and AML with an aim to improve therapeutic options for patients with these disorders. His work has been funded by NIH, DoD, LLS, CPRIT, EP Evans Foundation, and the MDS/AML Moon Shot. He has co- authored over 800 manuscripts. His H-index is 135 and his i10-Index is 853 with over 81,000 citations to his work. Currently, he is PI or Co-PI on over 30 active clinical trials focusing on AML and MDS. He directs what is likely the largest single institution unit for patients with MDS in the world, with over 400 patients referred annually, and maintains one of the busiest clinics at MD Anderson. The Section of MDS is comprised of leukemia faculty dedicated to care for patients with MDS and two research laboratories directed by Dr. Colla and Dr. Wei. In addition, the Section coordinates the work of over 15 research nurses. Dr. Garcia-Manero has received a number of significant awards, such as The Otis W. and Pearl L. Walters Faculty Achievement Award in Clinical Research and the Emil J. Freireich Award for Excellence in Translational Research at MD Anderson. Hugues de Thé M.D. Ph.D. is Professor of molecular oncology at the Collège de France and physician at Hospital St. Louis, Paris. He received a dual training in medicine and basic sciences and has been at the forefront of translational leukaemia research. In Necker hospital, he got an advanced training in physiopathology and the biological bases of therapeutics. During his PhD and post-doctoral studies in Pierre Tiollais’ laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, he learnt molecular biology and applied it to cancer biology. Ever since, his research has been aimed at linking molecular cell biology to therapeutic responses in cancer. His classic studies on acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) and the targeting of PML/RARA by retinoic acid and arsenic have led to the cure of this once intractable disease. They also made APL a paradigm for targeted therapies, one of the rare diseases where cure is achieved through a well-understood mechanism. These studies have earned him significant international recognition, often shared with his colleague Z. Chen (Jiaotong University, Shanghai), with whom most of his arsenic studies were carried out. He is currently studying other disease/treatment pairs in an attempt to improve therapy of other leukaemia through mechanistic elucidation of drug action in vivo.

He is an Honorary Professor at the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College, China since 2015 and received the Saint Antoine EBMT Achievement Award in 2017. He received the Robert Kyle career achievement Award in 2020. Professor Facon is the author and co-author of a number of articles and has published his work in various prestigious international journals including, as first or senior author, The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine.

She is a medical professional born in Berlin. She studied medicine at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin from 2009 to 2016 and later specialized in hematology and oncology. She completed her residency in various specialties, including cardiology and gastroenterology, at Schlosspark Klinik in Berlin from 2016 to 2018. Since 2019, she has been working at the Helios Clinic Berlin-Buch, where she serves as a resident and clinical researcher in hematology and oncology. Dr. Ossami Saidy has participated in several clinical trials and research projects, focusing on acute leukemia, B-cell lymphoma, and CAR T-cell therapy. She has published multiple scientific papers and currently holds a leadership position in the hematological trial office at Helios Clinic. Her work includes contributions to trials such as the Pola-R-ICE study for treating diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and research on CAR T-cell therapy efficacy in central nervous system lymphoma. She was the former Secretary of the Lymphoma Working Party of the EBMT until April 2024 and is currently co-leading the subcommittee for immunotherapies and CAR T-cell therapies, being involved in international research collaborations.

Hermann Einsele, MD, FRCP, is Full Professor of Internal Medicine and has been Director of the Department of Internal Medicine II of the University Hospital Würzburg, Germany, since 2004. Following his medical training at the Universities of Tübingen, Manchester, and London, Hermann Einsele became a research fellow in the Department of Haematology, Oncology, Rheumatology, and Immunology at the University of Tübingen, Germany. Hermann Einsele was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1991 and in Haematology/Oncology in 1996. In 1999, he was promoted as an Associate Professor. He was Visiting Professor at the City of Hope Hospital, Duarte, CA and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Seattle, USA. From 2011-2015 and since 2022 Hermann Einsele was Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Würzburg, from 2021-2021 he was Advisory board member in the funding program "Zwanzig20 - Partnership for Innovation" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and from 2015 -2021 Vice President of the University of Würzburg. Since 2018, he is the chair of the scientific working group on immunotherapy for hematological malignancies of the European Hematology Association. He has been a member of the Academia Europaea since November 2023. In 2003, he received the van Bekkum Award, the highest Annual European award for research in the field of stem cell transplantation. In 2011, he was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (London) and in 2012 Nobel Lecturer Stem Cell Biology/ Transplantation, Nobel Forum Karolinska Institute. Since 2014, he was elected as a member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature, Mainz and as an ISI “Highly Cited Researcher” in the category Clinical Medicine since 2017. In 2022, Prof. Einsele received the Erasmus Hematology Award 2022 from the Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands and the Bavarian Constitutional Medal. In 2023, he received the Emil von Behring Prize from the German Society for Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology (DGTI). Hermann Einsele is expert in the field of multiple myeloma with focus on CAR T cells, bi-specific antibodies, adoptive immunotherapy and stem cell transplantation.

He has been a member of the Board of the International Myeloma Society and the chairman of the Greek Myeloma Study Group. Currently he is the chairman of the Balkan Myeloma Study Group, a member of the Board of the European Myeloma Network, a member of the scientific committee of the European School of Haematologya and a member of the SOHO educational committee. He has published more than 1400 (1427, 19.6.2024) papers and his h-index (ISI) is 136 with the particular interest in hematologic malignancies (especially plasma cell dyscracias) and solid tumors. He is a recipient of the Robert A. Kyle Award for outstanding contributions to Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (May 2003), a recipient of Waldenstrom's award for Myeloma Research of the International Myeloma Society (March 2017), recipient of the CoMy Excellence Award (May 2017). In August 2017 he was given the title "Officier dans l' Ordre des Palmes academiques" (Republique Francaise, Ministere de l' Education Nationale). In May 2018 he was elected as “membre associe etranger” of the National Academy of Medecine of France.
